Rules

Creating art during the AP is welcome, but not mandatory. Feel free to just talk, sit around, or make your character dance.  T W O .  
Dancing, despite the AP’s main theme, is also not required. If you would rather observe others dancing, you’re welcome to do so.  T H R E E .  
Please use the tag #DanceAP when posting art or screenshots created during the AP, even if they’re not directly related to the event.  F O U R .  
Be polite and respectful to everyone in the venue.
The AP seeks to create a casual and inclusive space for all guests. Homophobia, racism, and transphobia are strictly forbidden.  F I V E .  
Leave the drama at the door. Keep conversations and tones light, avoiding heavy or overly personal topics.

Avoid NSFW talk in the chat and in shared content. The venue is SFW, and guests who do not follow this rule may be asked to leave.  S E V E N .  
The AP is console- and vanilla-player friendly. By attending the event, you consent to the possibility of your character being drawn or screenshotted without mods.  E I G H T .  
Do not talk about mods in the in-game chat. If you want to share modded files of your character with someone, do so outside of the game.  N I N E .  
Do not use mods on other characters without their explicit consent, even if they are SFW.  T E N .  
Do not pressure artists to choose your character as their art target. Having your character featured in artwork is not guaranteed.  E L E V E N .  
Avoid discussing the game’s story in public chat, especially content related to the latest patches.  T W E L V E .  
No AI is allowed in any form. Stealing or tracing another person’s art is strictly prohibited.

FAQ

  What is an Art Party?  
Art parties are community events where players gather to spend time together, talk, have fun, and create—whether it’s a drawing, gpose, story, or a personal project.  Is DanceAP any different from other APs?  
At DanceAP, there is a dance floor where all guests can move to music chosen to match the current theme. Other aspects of APs remain the same—this is a space for creativity and good vibes, where everyone is invited to enjoy themselves.  Do I have to create something during the AP?  
You’re welcome to join the party even if you can’t or don’t want to create anything. Just come to chat, observe, or hit the dance floor :)  Do I have to dance?  
Even though the venue is prepared for dancing, it’s not mandatory. There are areas where you can sit, lean, or even lie down if you feel like it. If the basement area is too crowded or overwhelming, you can also stay on the ground floor in the café.  How will the music be played?  
The music will be played through orchestrions. There are several playlists prepared for the AP, featuring music that fits the theme and is rotated during the event. Because orchestrions can be costly in terms of gil, real money, or time required to unlock them, please don’t be surprised if a specific track you’re hoping for isn’t available.  What if the music is too loud / too quiet / too distracting?  
You can adjust the orchestrion music settings in your game. Go to System Configuration, then Sound Settings, where you can change the volume of either the BGM or all game sounds (Master Volume).  Is there any mod support?  
No, the AP does not support mod sharing. Because of this, please note that your character may be drawn or screenshotted in their vanilla (unmodded) appearance. Please also do not use mods on other guests without their explicit consent, and do not discuss mods in the in-game chat.
